Paul McGann Joins "Real Dictators"

Acclaimed British film and television actor Paul McGann has joined forces with Noiser as the host of the upcoming podcast series Real Dictators.

Real Dictators examines the lives and crimes of history’s tyrants. We meet Papa Doc Duvalier, Haiti’s voodoo-worshipping autocrat; Kim Jong Il, the North Korean leader who developed nuclear warheads alongside blockbuster films; the Soviet kingpin, Joseph Stalin, and many more.

The dark and defining moments in their reigns are brought to life by McGann’s dramatic narration. Their stories are intertwined with interviews with experts as well as regime survivors and escapees.

Paul McGann is perhaps best known for starring as the Eighth Doctor in the BBC’s classic sci-fi serial Doctor Who, his leading role in cult classic Withnail and I, and his turn as Mark North in Luther.

The first season of Real Dictators debuts in 2020.
